Does a listed project have open spots?

Not necessarily. The list shows which projects are certified, not which are enrolling. A project you hear about in the news can't enroll anyone until the PSC grants it a Final Certificate to Operate.

How do I check a company that contacts me?

  1. Ask for the name of the project it is offering.
  2. Find that project on the PSC's current list. If it isn't there, ask the PSC before you sign.
  3. Ask who will enroll you and who you will sign with.
  4. Read the contract before you sign. You have 3 days after you sign to cancel with no penalty.

Common questions

Do I have to live near a project?

No. Projects must be in Delmarva's Delaware territory, and any Delmarva customer in Delaware can subscribe. Where you live inside that territory doesn't decide it.

Can I join more than one project?

Yes, up to 4. Your credits are capped at 110% of your expected use.

How do credits from a project reach my bill?

Your credit is your share of the project's output times the per-kWh distribution and supply charges on your rate schedule. See how the credit shows on your Delmarva bill.
