Who operates Free Solar DE?

Free Solar DE is a website run by Media Masters Group LLC. It explains community solar to Delmarva Power customers in Delaware and lets them ask for a call.

What do we do, and who actually enrolls you?

We connect Delmarva customers with the solar provider, which handles enrollment. Here is what that looks like:

  1. You send the short form on this site.
  2. We call you from (609) 474-4242 to check that you're a Delmarva Power customer with the account in your name.
  3. We explain the credit, the price, the two bills most subscribers get today and the contract terms.
  4. Nothing is signed on our call. If you want to go ahead, we ask whether we may send your details to the provider.
  5. The provider sends you the contract. You read it and decide.

It is free to join. Delaware law bars credit checks and upfront enrollment fees for residential subscribers, and you pay the project a monthly subscription that must cost less than the credits are worth.

What are we not?

  • We are not Delmarva Power, and we don't work for it.
  • We are not the Delaware Public Service Commission, DNREC or any government agency, and we are not endorsed by them.
  • We don't install solar panels or sell rooftop systems.
  • We don't compare providers. We work with one provider, which handles enrollment.
  • We don't sign contracts with you. Your contract is with the provider.

How is the content checked?

Every guide on this site links its source beside each claim. We use primary sources: the Delaware Code (Title 26, Chapter 10), the PSC's Regulation 3013 order, the PSC's consumer page and DNREC's community solar page.

  • We don't publish a number we can't source.
  • Savings examples are labeled "Example only".
  • Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.

How can I check you?

  1. Call us. Ring (609) 474-4242 and ask who we are and which provider we work with.
  2. Write to us. Use the mailing address below or hello@freesolarde.com.
  3. Check the project. Only projects with a PSC Final Certificate to Operate may enroll customers. Look for the project on the PSC certified project list.
  4. Read the contract first. The provider's name and price are in it, and any early cancellation fee must be written in it.
  5. Know your right to cancel. You have 3 days after you sign to cancel with no penalty.
  6. Protect your account number. Don't give it to anyone who hasn't told you who they are. More in how to check a community solar offer.

Yes. Free Solar MD, for Delmarva Power customers in Maryland, is run by the same company. Maryland has its own rules, so each site covers only its own state.

How do you handle my information?
